The best way to democratise fashion, is to make things reachable. To everyone. By collaborating with high end brands such as Lemaire, Isabel Marant, Sonia Rykiel and Balmain, high street brands such as H&M and Uniqlo, are participating in this democratisation of luxury fashion.
The Uniqlo and Lemaire collection, which hit stores last Friday, 2nd of October 2015, was a real success. In the Parisian Uniqlo store next to the Opera Garnier, several pieces sold out quickly, leaving, however, some nice leftovers such as cosy wool cardigans and wool dresses.
Personally, I went looking in the afternoon and was delighted to find two knitted wool cardigans and a long wool dress, which is featured in this post.
As I am quite petite, wearing long dresses has never been an option for me. Either they would touch the floor, or I would look even smaller than I am.
However, the one I found at Uniqlo can be called a true revelation. It has a nice cut, it is incredibly warm and is elongating rather than making one look minuscule.
